Sand art

Ilana Yahav is a sand animation artist: using her fingers only, she draws in sand on a lighted glass table.

"Baby Sandy" introduced young children into the intriguing, magical world

of artistic creation. Happy classical music and playful sound effects, especially

arrange for the young ear by musician Merav Josef-Levi ,provides the musical

background for this visual adventure.

This flowing "hands dance" that challenges the imagination and initiate a multi

sensory response is full of surprises music and artistic visual effects.

Baginski has been behind other projects such as "The Cathedral", and is regarded as one of the greatest independent CG artists that this world has to offer. Honestly, this is stuff you would not normally find on any given day, as his work is some of the greatest I have ever seen. This plot involves a volunteer soldier that plummets to his death. A photograph is taken and sent by courier to a huge man, who adds it to his macabre collection

This animation was made for a yearly art festival in my hometown Maastricht (kunsttour.com). Showing all my old stuff wasn't an option. So I started building a set and tried to come up with a story with two characters and a lot of violence : ) Filming took six full days in a period of three weeks. I only had the chance to animate when I had a day off from work. But sculpting, storyboarding and setting up scenes where done every evening.
A very talented Dutch musician (dob Audio) gave me the opportunity to use his music.
I've worked very hard on it and hope you all like it.

No clay was harmed during the production of this animation : )
